Ordination of a Priest

Joining Like Mother, Like Daughter for some {pretty}, {happy}, {funny}, and {real} Veritas!

ORDINATION of a PRIEST

Our friend (and past children's choir director) was ordained today;
a Dominican priest.

Church of St. Dominic
The Most Reverend Charles Morerod, O.P. was the Celebrant & Consecrator.

I did not take a lot of pictures, not a one during the Liturgy.  But here are few light shots of the joy and love from the day...

{real}

A custom where one receives a blessing from a newly ordained priest.
After a priest's first thanksgiving or public Mass, one can then receive a plenary indulgence.

Fr. Corwin, O.P.
"You are a priest forever, in the line of Melchizedek."

Today we are celebrating several Anniversaries...

The 37 year anniversary of our Pastor's Priestly Ordination.  We celebrated by attending the Holy Mass this morning, which he celebrated.

Communion Prayer:
"My Jesus, I believe that you are truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.  I love you above all things, and I desire to possess you within my soul.  I believe it because You have said it, and I am ready to give my life to maintain this truth."

A very blessed day.
