One hour before dinner...

Little Lamb:  "Mama.  Is it ok if I have a bagel?

Me:  (looking at her over my reading glasses with the "No" look)

Little Lamb:  "Take an X-ray of my stomach and you will see that there is nothing in there but this much acid."  (showing an inch using her thumb and forefinger).
