Butterfly and Little Lamb have really been baking up a variety of wonderful cookies this Christmas season. I'm just the clean up crew...and the taste tester. And that is just fine by me.
Years ago we made a Gingerbread Nativity & Manger and we placed these gingerbread cookies along side. Wilton sold a Nativity kit...sadly, they no longer sell the kit.

I just love ginger bread cookies, ginger biscuits, ginger marmalade, ginger beer ... all right, I just love ginger. We buy it as a powder for cooking or as glacee pieces which taste wonderful instead of sweets.

Ginger beer?! This is intriguing...is it equivalent to Ginger ale? Which is a non-alcoholic (sugary, carbonated) beverage. I love ginger ale...I might love ginger beer, too(?)

Yes, ginger beer is ginger ale. We call it ginger beer. It is non-alcoholic carbonated drink. There are also alcoholic versions:
